MMA Strength

Put the gloves down and get old school for this muscle pumping STRENGTH HIIT session that will burn up to 740 calories. Using all the equipment and drills that MMA fighters use, the coach will motivate you through this strength and resistance based session. TRX, Kettle-bells, Push Sleds and battle ropes to name but a few, are used to target major muscle groups to accelerate your muscle development, while giving you a huge anaerobic cardio blast. The HIIT format of this workout will also give you the *EPOC (calorie afterburn) effect for hours after you’re done. The coach will inspire and guide you safely through a pumping and energising team based training session.

BENEFITS

STRENGTH HIIT focuses on major compound movements that works predominantly legs, chest, back and core. In conjunction with use of movement based resistance exercises such as sleds you can expect to see a big increase in your overall power. Working in intervals, combining strength and movement based exercises will condition your body to perform at its maximum potential for longer periods. Regular sessions will also condition your body to recover quicker from high intensity based training.

*NB – Excess post-exercise oxygen consumption (EPOC, informally called afterburn) is a measurably increased rate of oxygen intake following strenuous activity intended to erase the body’s “oxygen deficit.”
